Urethane Bumper Plates

Our Urethane Bumper Plates are molded from premium, high durometer rated polyurethane, producing a consistent dead bounce on every drop and guaranteeing the shape and colour for years to come. These Urethane Bumper Plates have a hard-chrome coated steel centre insert with an opening of 50.4mm. They also have a thinner profile than most bumper plates in the market, allowing for more weight to be loaded onto the bar.

Why Urethane?

Polyurethane has numerous benefits over rubber and even metal in the use of weightlifting plates. The main benefits of polyurethane is their ability to absorb shock and withstand substantial loads while reducing the bounce-back that traditional rubber would have.

Urethane is also more resistant to abrasion and scratching than the more commonly available, rubber bumper plates. This means that the Urethane Bumper Plates will have a much longer lifespan and keep their integrity, looking new after years of abuse.
