The OX Power Bar

The OX Power Bar is our competition level powerlifting barbell designed for optimal performance in the BIG 3 lifts; squats, bench and deadlifts. The knurling on the OX Power Bar is highly aggressive, deep pitted with volcano style knurling. This barbell is built to IPF/Competition specifications (not approved) so you can train how you compete. 

Finish/Coating:

The OX Power Bar comes in two variants: Stainless steel or Black Zinc.

Stainless steel is virtually maintenance-free without the downside of creating a slippery bar feel like adding a coating would do. Another benefit to stainless steel is that it does not wear off over time like most coatings will. 

The Black Zinc OX Power Bar has a black zinc shaft and hard chrome sleeves. This variant offers medium level corrosion resistance with minimal maintenance. Not as tough as the stainless variant but at a much more affordable price.

Sleeve Construction: 

The OX Power Bar sleeves are made smooth vs ribbed to prevent chipping the coating on your plates (common with calibrated steel/iron discs). Inside the sleeves we used graphite plugged bronze bushings to create a smooth, consistent spin. We also opted for a snap ring design for easy cleaning and a secure hold.

Bar Shaft Construction:

The OX Power Bar has a 29mm bar shaft with a high tensile strength of 205k PSI. This creates a very stiff barbell that has no whip whatsoever. 

Accuracy:

Our OX Power Bars are within a minimum of 1% of its stated weight. 

Variants:

We offer two versions of the OX Power Bar a 20kg variant and a 45lbs variant.

20 kg competition:

• Smaller flange(collar) for more loadable sleeve space, more bar stiffness, sleeker look

45 lbs training:

• Thicker flange(collar) less loadable sleeve space but more space between your rack and the loaded plates, best for lifters with a wider squat rack
