The Iron House Basic Weightlifting Bar has a higher tensile strength than the majority of entry-level Olympic bars on the market, clocking in at 185,000 psi.

Exercise Versatility & Whip

This barbell is best suited for weightlifting and cross-training exercises but can be used to perform some powerlifting exercises as well. Keep in mind that due to the diameter, this barbell has much more “whip” than our Power Bars.

28 mm Shaft

With a 28 mm diameter shaft and moderate knurling, you can enjoy higher rep workouts without worrying about tearing up your hands.

Grooved Sleeves

Fine grooves are machined into the sleeves to help keep the weights in place during explosive movements.

Needle Roller Bearings

The sleeve of the Iron House Basic Weightlifting Bar houses a combination of needle roller bearings and copper bushings. This allows for exceptional sleeve rotation.

Hard Chrome 

The hard chrome coating on the Iron House Basic Weightlifting Bar gives an exceptional amount of corrosion resistance while being resilient to abrasion. Hard chrome does not patina nor rub off like oxide coatings.
